EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

During his tenure with Building Assessment Services (BAS), and over the last ten years, Doug has performed hundreds of home inspections.  In addition to inspecting residential structural, heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing systems and building envelopes as part of pre-purchase condition assessments, Doug has performed numerous new home warranty inspections, assisting Owners in the development of a punch list for their respective Builders and Developers for submission prior to the expiration of their one-year warranty.  Doug has also been a technical assistant helping Professional Engineers with the inspection of commercial buildings, with forensic inspection of specific building elements, and with insurance claim cause-of-loss.

Doug has successfully completed the National Home Inspectors Examination (EBPHI) given by the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors and has twenty-two years of hands-on experience in the building industry; as a general contractor, remodeler, commercial tradesman, and property manager.  For BAS he employs the estimating experience he has gained in general contracting to help assess the costs of repair work.
